It is almost eight years since the Human Brain Project (HBP), which aims to unravel the mysteries of the brain, was launched in Europe. After a difficult start, the project has made important discoveries and innovations, relevant to addressing clinical disorders, as well as technological breakthroughs, and still has two more years to go.

The Spanish Society of Neurology has awarded the Spanish Brain Council the Mention of Honor 2021, ua recognition to those institutions or individuals who have supported or fought in favor of Neurology or patients suffering from neurological diseases. The SEN, through its board of directors, has decided that the 2021 honorable mention will go to the Spanish Brain Council, a non-governmental organization founded in 2009 that seeks to bring together all those partners related to neurological diseases.
