
An international study involving Cajal Institute researchers Marta Navarrete and Alfonso Araque, together with Caitlin Durkee and Paulo Kofuji, from the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Minnesota, recently published in the prestigious journal Trends in Neurosciences (TINS), examines the involvement of astrocytes in long-term depression (LTD), determining that it is a central form of synaptic plasticity.
